Company History
ENCO was founded in 1956 as ENCO Engineering Corporation, Inc. by Daniel M. Pittman, Sr. and Henry Dejarnette. ENCO Engineering focused on civil engineering projects such as subdivision site construction, road construction, utilities projects, and municipality and land surveys.
ENCO began building commercial buildings in the 1960's. Daniel Pittman, Sr. and his son Daniel M. Pittman, Jr. bought out Henry Dejarnette in 1979.
Daniel Pittman, Sr. retired in 1985. In 1986 ENCO Engineering Corporation was renamed ENCO Construction Company, Inc. This name change signified a new season for ENCO and a new direction with commercial construction the focus. In the mid 1990's Daniel Pittman, Jr. bought the remaining shares of company stock from family members and became the sole owner.
In 2007, Sidney Goocher bought in as a partner and was made Vice President.
